Servicing all grades at Island City Academy through push-in special education services
I have previously taught at both charter schools and public schools. Although this is my first year at ICA, I am feeling welcomed and the year is off to a great start. I will continue looking forward to working with students and making a difference in the lives I touch.
My education background began years ago when I began as a volunteer with the handicap riding program in Jackson. Through this I found my love of teaching others with special needs. I started at Jackson Community College obtaining an Associates Degree, transferred to Eastern Michigan University where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. Most recentlyI graduated from Concordia University of Ann Arbor with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership focused in Curriculum and IInstruction(December 2010).
